This past week, I have been working on my personality portrait project. I am doing mine on Amanda, the Jewish mom entrepreneur, who is starting a bagel pop up in Pizza Tree, which her husband owns, with her friend Sarah. Making bagels is a two-day process and then they bake the bagels fresh the morning of order pickup. I took photos this past Sunday and Monday mornings. One of my biggest challenges I think there was showing the emotion and interaction since both women wore masks the whole time and usually were working separately while chatting. I got a few moments though. Before the final project, I need to get some family shots and find more visual ways to tie in the family and religious elements of this story. Friday though I will be hanging out with the family and I know I will get some great stuff then that I am hoping will round out my project and give it that additional depth.
